Whitetail Gardens was established in 2011 by Jessica and Daniel Luckow. We operated as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) on a two acre section of rented land in Climax MN. We also sold direct to restaurants and the farmers market in Crookston MN. In 2012 we moved to a four acre section closer to home just a couple of miles outside of Crookston, but still rented the land we farmed our specialty crops on until the fall of 2014 when we decided to take some time off from farming and added our third child in January of 2015.
It had always been our dream to purchase our own farm and enjoy rural living. In August of 2016 we purchased a 24 acre homestead and in 2019 we added an additional 78 acres. Along with growing specialty crops for restaurants and the local farmers markets, we also started doing a weekly produce box again in 2020. We have added goats, chickens and also raised 2 litters of piglet that were born on our farm.
